That's right you guessed it...We are now the proud owners of a pop up camper. I don't know what I was thinking when I agreed to this purchase, because now I feel the pressure of learning to cook over an open fire, and keep a clean camper. These two things are not possible while camping with three young children.
The words fire and clean are a little scary and impossible.
With that said, Ken is living the high life and will without a doubt get the last laugh when he get's me out in the woods in that thing. He is like a kid with a new toy. He is now in the process of collecting all the toys to go with it, and learning how to be a woodsman...This should be fun!
Because the excitement was so unbearable he decided to ake the girls out camping one weekend.
You heard me right...Me and Eli stayed at home in the comfort of the indoors. Besides it was too cold for Eli to be out on this particular weekend. (I'm going with that excuse as long as it will last:))
The girls were thrilled about the whole adventure and thought it was way cool that there is a potty in the camper...You know this was a BIG selling point for me as well! I do not do well with public potties, especially with the kids wanting to touch everything in sight!
They loved burning wood, roasting marshmellows and throwing anything on the fire that might burn.
Let me just say this...You have NEVER seen two girls with more dried marshmellow muck stuck in their hair when they got home. Thay looked like puppies with long matted ears. Appearantly bathing and brushing hair were not the priority on this particular camping trip, and they could have cared less.
All they cared about was spending time with their Daddy doing things they all thought was fun. He is such an amazing man, and an even more outstanding Dad.
I'll keep you posted about MY first trip out with the bunch! This should be good, Right?
Anyone with any good camping advice, besideds not going!?!
