The Adventures of Karis!

She marches to the beat of her own drum, she is fearless and brave, she rarely wears shoes, she is full of spirit, and loves life and is quite the worker bee when Mommy needs help... I am talking about my three year old, Karis, who is also my middle child. For her third Birthday we decided to buy her a powerwheels, but we couldn't decide which one...The princess car just doesn't suit her personality like it does Ashlyn's. However, the loud, hear her coming from a mile away, Dennis the Menice sounding four wheler was more of a perfect fit. We had no idea that she would love it as much as she does. She has even learned how to ride it Annie Oakley style, and that was a bit hillarious the first time we saw it...Like I said...No Fear! Don't let that innocent smile and dress fool you, she is a handful!

She recently came in the house carrying the biggest mushroom you have ever seen while wearing my flip flops on her feet... When I saw her I laughed out loud and took this picture, before giving a her the lecture about not playing with those things. After she threw it in the trash, and was walking out the door, I wondered to myself how she managed to walk up the stairs in my shoes...notice she has her toes in the flip flop the wrong way...That looks painful.

Eli's Dedication

I am finally jumping off into cyberspace, and I have to admit that it is a little scary and very exciting. I am very shocked and proud that I set this up on my own without the help of my computer geneous husbands help. I do not claim to be a wonderful writer, or even to have good grammar or proper use of punctuation, the only thing I know for sure is I do have is some funny pictures and lots of cute kid stories...So if you are down and out and need a good laugh, you have come to the right blog.
My first entry is Eli's Baby Dedication. We were all very excited, and Ken and I decided to include the girls in this process. Ashlyn took her commitment very serioously. She is thrilled about being able to share Jesus with Eli as he grows, and seemed excited about being included. Karis, on the other hand, was overjoyed to see seven stairs that led to the stage, and during prayer had fun making her way up and down, and spreding her legs apart...I was never so happy that she chose to wear a cute capri outfit that morning!
I hope you enjoy the family picture of the five of us. There are many things that change when you have kids, and certainly the idea of EVER getting a good family photo is one of those things. Someone will always be clowning around
